- The center is staffed with qualified adults who have had previous experience with school-age or young children
- The center meets or exceeds the Child Day Care Licensing staff/child ratio requirements
- Many staff have, or are working toward, teaching certification, childcare certification or related degrees
- Most staff are First Aid and CPR trained
- All staff complete at least 16 hours of training each school-year
- All new staff attend a three-hour training on Protecting God’ Children
- Finger print and background checks are completed on all new hires in accordance with the Diocese of Lansing and the Department of Human Services guidelines

Mrs. Tricia Strassburg
Mrs. Strassburg is the Lead Teacher in the Preschool Program. Mrs. Strassburg has a BA in Science with an Elementary Teaching Degree. She and her family live in Ann Arbor. They are parish members. Both of her children attended St. Francis School. Mrs. Strassburg was the Religious Education Enrichment Preschool Teacher for 5 years and also was a substitute teacher and tutor for the school. In her spare time, Mrs. Strassburg likes to read, do puzzles and spend time with family and friends.
* Mrs. Emily Vigo
Mrs. Vigo is the Assistant Teacher in the Preschool Classroom. Mrs. Vigo is an alumnus of St. Francis School. Her children also attend St. Francis. Mrs. Vigo has been a Girl Scout Leader and a Religious Education Teacher. She attended the University of Michigan.
Mrs. Lisa Bozzi
Mrs. Bozzi is the Preschool Aide. She attended Purdue University Calumet and Roosevelt University in Chicago. She and her family live in Saline. The family are parish members and her children attend St. Francis School. In her free time, Mrs. Bozzi enjoys spending time with her family, reading, baking and tending to her garden.

Mrs. Monika Barera
After School Care
Mrs. Barera works with the 2nd-6th grade children in the after-school program. She has been a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish for over 25 years and has over 15 years with the ESP and Preschool Program. Both of her children graduated from St. Francis of Assisi School. Mrs. Barera enjoys helping the children unwind from school with activities and projects as well as assisting them with homework. She has an associate’s degree from Washtenaw Community College and a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University.
Mrs. Patrice Deutschmann
After School Care
Mrs. Deutschmann works with the 2nd – 6th grade children in the after-school program. She has been a part of St. Francis of Assisi Parish and School community for over 20 years. She and her husband were married here, and her children attended St. Francis School. Mrs. Deutschmann feels blessed to be a part of the school family and working in ESP after-school program. She enjoys leading the children in craft and food projects, watching them during play-time, and helping them in homework club. She is inspired by the children’s energy, talents, and faith. Mrs Deutschmann has a B.A. in Education.
