Welcome to the St. Francis of Assisi School Preschool Program
We have four classrooms that serve young children ages 3-5, offering half or full-day options. Our Enrichment Preschool rooms are for 3-year-old children who will be 3 by December 1st; our Pre-Kindergarten rooms are for children who will be 4 years old by December 1st.
We have a blended curriculum, taking components from the HighScope curriculum and Reggio Emilia inspired programs. Our emergent curriculum is based on the observed interests of the children and offers a balance of child and teacher-initiated activities. Our caring St. Francis educators seek out and support the evolving interests of our students. They provide ample time for the children to become deeply involved in activities and learning, both inside the classroom and outside on our lovely nature playground.
St. Francis of Assisi Preschool is committed to building trusting relationships with our families, listening to your goals and concerns for your child and encouraging you and other family members to participate in our program in a variety of ways.
The first few years of your child’s life are a critical period of learning and development, socially, emotionally, and intellectually. Connecting with warm, caring educators, like our teachers at St. Francis, helps your future preschooler form strong relationships throughout his or her life.
