    How are family and friends to deal with those having an alcohol or drug problem? 

    An innovative new kit, "Take Charge," is currently available at St. Francis Parish.   These materials are directed toward the families of those suffering from alcohol or drug abuse/ dependence. The kit consists of an informative video, audio, and literature, all designed to provide support, information, and guidance to the family members and friends of those with an alcohol or drug problem.



    Are You Connected to the Recovery Community?

    Are you familiar with Alcoholics Anonymous or other 12 step drug addiction support groups and the recovery community for people trying to be sober?

    You can help other members of St. Francis find the recovery community.  Learn how by calling Scott at the Parish Social Ministry Office (821-2121).



     
    Learn about the Dawn Farm Education Series, a FREE, annual workshop series developed to provide accurate, helpful, hopeful, practical, current information about chemical dependency, recovery, family and related issues; and to dispel the myths, misinformation, secrecy, shame and stigma that prevent chemically dependent individuals and their families from getting help and getting well. All Education Series programs are free, and are open to anyone interested in attending.  Who is it for? People in recovery, people interested in recovery, family members/friends and others affected by chemical dependency, people who work with chemically dependent individuals, students, anyone interested in any topic for any reason ALL ARE WELCOME!   Visit Dawn Farm!

    The mission of this Recovery Ministry is to work with our St. Francis community members who are moving in the direction of healing and wholeness.

    The National Catholic Council on Alcoholism and Related Drug Problems, Inc. (NCCA) is a membership organization affiliated with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. Cardinal Anthony Bevilacqua is Episcopal Moderator. The NCCA is the only organization in the Roman Catholic Church focused exclusively on the awareness, prevention and treatment of alcohol and related drug problems.
