  • Thanks for the Food/Groceries
    St. Francis volunteers who were working on our big food drive delivered more than 432 bags of groceries to the pantries at: 
    195 bags for Hope Clinic, 
      82 bags for Perry Nursery School, 
    110 bags for Northside Community Center (CSS), 
     61 bags for Community Support and Treatment Services (AKA Community Mental Health). 
    Thanks to everyone that helped by shopping and/or delivering.  And, thanks to all those who assisted with delivery.  Especialy thanks to Jody O'Brien-Jackson and her team for coordinating the drive. 

    The total number of tagged-empty bags distributed on Feb 23/24, 2008, were 600.  All bags were passed-out.   No bags were left over. 

    Bags returned on March 1/2, 2008 were:
    80 bags from the 5:00 PM Mass Saturday;
    68 bags from the 7:00 AM Mass Sunday;
    81 bags from the 8:45 AM Mass Sunday;
    97 bags from the 10:30 AM Mass Sunday;
    45 bags from the 12:15 PM Mass Sunday;
    61 bags from the 5:00 PM Mass Sunday;

    St. Francis Parish is providing some extra food this winter for the needy in our area. 

    We need you to be involved by donating food and/or delivering food. 

    On February 23/24, 2008, take an empty grocery bag (distributed at all the Masses) go shopping and purchase some of the items listed on the bag.(See shopping lists below.)

    On March 2, 2008, return the groceries in the bag at Masses.

    On Sunday, March 2, 2008, between 10:30AM - 2:00PM,  come to the GYM to help deliver groceries to Food Pantries in Ann Arbor & Ypsilanti. (Directions provided.)

    Who Gets the Food?   The groceries will be delivered by many volunteers to organizations with Food Pantries here in Ann Arbor & Ypsilanti.
