Horse Race Rules
We hope you will be able to experience the thrill of Churchill Downs right here in Ann Arbor!
The rules are simple. We will be showing recorded horse races throughout the evening on the big screen. You place your wagers on your lucky horse for each race. There will be two betting windows in the main ballroom where you can place your bets. Each “bet” costs $2.00. Place as many bets as you’d like. (For example, a $20.00 wager would equal ten (10) bets.) As each race begins, the totals will be pooled. Afterwards, a percentage is taken out (for the benefit of the St. Francis Educational Trust Fund!); the remainder is divided among the lucky individuals that bet on the winning horse.
· No bets will be taken after the start of the race video.
· Bets may be made with cash or by your bid number (to be settled by check or credit card at check-out at the end of the night).
· The race outcomes are not known by the event staff or committee members of ETF Benefit.
