Adult Choirs and Ensembles
The St. Francis Chorale
The St. Francis Chorale is open to all people ages 14 and up. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. This choir sings at the Sunday 10:30 am Mass, September through June. Director: Ginger Herrmann, email@example.com
The handbell choirs are open to all people Middle School through adult. They rehearse on Tuesday evenings and play at various weekend liturgies and holy days from September through May. Director: Ginny Birchler, firstname.lastname@example.org
Open to anyone who is available to sing at Parish funerals as they occur throughout the year.
The Assisi Ensemble
Do you enjoy singing at mass and/or do you play an instrument? We welcome you to join us in music and prayer at the Saturday 5:00 PM Liturgies, September through May. We rehearse before mass, beginning at 4:00 PM, using contemporary and traditional musical selections and we encourage you to come and experience for yourself our spiritual sense of belonging through participation at your comfort level. Sunday 5 Ensemble
The Sunday 5 Ensemble is a combined ensemble of singers and instrumentalists open to age High School and beyond! They rehearse on Thursday evenings and minister at the Sunday 5:00 pm Mass from September through May. Director: Jane Panikkar, firstname.lastname@example.org
Open to youth and adult parishioners, this ensemble of instrumentalists and singers leads the congregation during the Taizé prayer services during Advent and Lent. The music consists of psalms and repetitive chants.
Children’s Choirs and Ensembles
Parish Children’s Choir and Youth Band & Choir
The Parish Children’s Choir is open to all children in grades K-8 (including Religious Education students, homeschool, and school students) and sings at one 12:30 p.m. Sunday Mass every month. Rehearsals take place on Thursdays from 5:30-6:30 p.m. We meet in the Choir Room, located in the basement of the church. The St. Francis String Program
Our Strings Program is open to children and teenage parishioners grades kindergarten through eighth grade. Classes are on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:15 -4:15 pm. for violin instruction. Once a week, music theory and ear training courses are offered in addition to the instrumental sessions. The members play as an ensemble at various school and Sunday 8:45 am Masses throughout the year. There is an incredible benefit to group process instrumental classes and we hope you have the opportunity to be a part of this program. Elementary School Choir
Our Elementary Choir is provided for St. Francis school students interested in choral music. This group is composed of third through fifth grade students and meets once or twice a week during recess. The choir studies singing in parts and good vocal techniques. It performs in the Christmas Concert, leads at the all school masses, and sings for the community throughout the year.
Middle School Choir
Our Middle School Choir is open to all sixth through eighth grade St. Francis school students. The choir sings at all middle school masses, several Sunday masses throughout the year, the Parish Picnic Mass, the Christmas Program, the Christmas Eve 5:15 pm mass, Choir Festival, and the Graduation Mass.
