Faith Sharing Groups

Small Groups can make the difference!
St. Francis Parish is a large and vibrant parish so getting connected can be challenging. Those involved in small groups consistently cite a greater feeling of community as well as better clarity in what it means to live out their faith on a daily basis.

There is a perfect group waiting for you
We have small groups for everyone - some in the evening, some during the day; some are open to all, two specifically for women, one for young adults, another for parents of recently baptized children and even one where moms can bring their small children and meet while they play in the nursery.

Join a group this fall and experience what we're talking about! The commitment is only for 6 weeks. Most groups will start in mid October and end before Thanksgiving.

Our focus for discussion this fall will be based on the book, The Lessons of St. Francis: How to Bring Simplicity and Spirituality into your Daily Life, by John Michael Talbot. Perhaps better known as a musician, singer and song writer than author, Talbot is very readable and entertaining as he includes excerpts of Francis’s life interspersed with experiences of his own life and thought provoking insights into how we might embrace Francis’s practices personally for a saner, less chaotic way of living. Anyone who seeks a simple, commonsense approach to spirituality in today’s busy, noisy world will benefit from this book. As the St. Francis of Assisi Parish Community, this is a great way to become more familiar with our beloved saint while sharing our spiritual journey with one another. Join the parish celebration of our patron saint throughout the month of October by learning more about him!
